Top of the State, State of the Top

Climbed very slowly up Mt. Mansfield last week, going from misty valley fog through bright sun on bright foliage to a smattering of ice and snow on top, at the highest point in Vermont, 4,395 feet in elevation. Trapps’ in Snow

It’s been an off-and-on winter, but snow returned on March 1, and people turned out at the Trapp Family Lodge trails in Stowe, VT, to enjoy it.

April in Vermont

Well, it may be spring where you are, but it’s not quite spring here. These were all taken the past two days. Above, there’s mud under the snow in East Montpelier. Below and bottom, the Slayton Pasture trail at the Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe.
