And a Podium at Home for Jessie Diggins

The Swedes Jonna Sundling and Frida Karlsson ruled the day on the race course, but not really because Jessie Diggins fought her way onto the podium. The result was a flood of emotion from Jessie and from the thousands of spectators at Minneapolis’s Theodore Wirth Park, many of them locals but many also from the xc ski community that stretches across the northern tier of the US and into the Rockies, California, Canada and Alaska. Diggins leads the World Cup this year, but she said that bringing the races home to Minnesota was the most important thing to her. I will post gallery from the two days of racing in Minneapolis, but probably not until I get back to Vermont.
